What are your business hours?
Our business hours are flexible to meet our clients needs. We are available on mobile from 9.00am to 9.00pm monday to saturday.
Our Office in the Gateway Business Centre, Athy Road, is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm monday - friday.
How do I send my work to you?
In local cases we like to meet our clients and receive the hand over face to face. Our office is located in the Gateway Business Centre, Athy Road, Carlow . We also accept work by email typist@typist.ie, or by post. In case of digital audio we can use a secure file transfer system as our file sharing method for large files or we can store files on memory stick on intitial meeting.
How much do you charge?
Copy Typing : pricing per 1000 words (Discounts on large transcripts)
Audio Typing : Project basis.
Document Reformatting : hourly rate

How fast can typist.ie type?
Handwritten documents may take longer depending on the legibility of the handwriting. But with typing speeds of over 80 wpm we pride ourselves in turnaround times.
How long does it take you to transcribe an hour of audio?
It takes approx 3 to 4 hours to type an hour of good quality audio. Audio containing more than two people, i.e., business meetings, interviews with more than one person, etc., or audio that is difficult to hear can take a little longer. On large audio projects or ongoing work we provide our clients with discounts.
